How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I started CrossFit in November 2013, shortly after Silver Star opened.
Have you seen any changes in your body?
Yes!! I’m stronger, my posture is better, and I sleep better too. And somehow all my t-shirts have shrunk.
Have you made gains?
I’ve made significant gains in strength and coordination. Also in the past 6-7 weeks my CrossFit skills have vastly improved. WOD’s that were intimidating in the past, I now approach as an opportunity to finish faster or complete rounds.
What do you like most about CrossFit in general?
For me, CrossFit fosters confidence in your physical abilities along with the opportunity to challenge yourself during the workout.
What do you like most about Silver Star CrossFit?
The community at Silver Star is awesome and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in running, cycling or other gyms I’ve been a member of. The members make the difference at Silver Star, I really enjoy seeing and working out them. That being said, at the core of the “community” are Craig and Josh. They are dedicated in helping every member excel and are also ultra supportive. Who hasn’t experienced Craig stopping by during the WOD with words of encouragement or have Josh sneak up behind you and say “Git it!”. I’m proud to be a member.
Would you recommend this to anyone else and why?
I would recommend CrossFit to anyone looking to get into the best shape of their lives. It’s not nearly as intimidating as I thought it was, it’s scalable to anyone’s abilities. I’d also recommend Silver Star to anyone, no matter of your skills. The coaches and the community make the difference.
